About the role we currently have an exciting development opportunity in the Capability group based at PNHQ. The Capability team supports and enables front-line response staff in the safe and effective delivery of their duties by ensuring those staff have appropriate equipment, tools, and capability to perform their role. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with our people, partners and the community is essential to this role along with the ability to use Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sound decisions.

Key accountabilities provide administrative support to the Director: Capability and the Capability Senior Leadership team. Receives and screens visitors, where required replies to queries received by phone, mail and/or email or redirects to the appropriate person. Provides general administrative support for the group (including liaison with applicable parties to organise travel, accommodation, venue bookings and/or messing arrangements as required).

Coordinates meetings, interviews and workshops as required; providing logistical support as appropriate. Liaises with external contractors, service providers, other Police staff and members of the public on behalf of the Group.
