Administration Officer Bayside Council location Sydney.

Enjoy a rostered day off per fortnight. Permanent full time position (35 hours per week). Provide administrative and support services to facilitate the operation of the Development Services Business Unit.

About the role the Administration Officer is responsible to provide a range of administrative and support services, including, records management, and routine correspondence, and meeting and event coordination to support the effective operation of the Business Unit.

You can also expect to provide daily administrative support services to the Team Leader Administration, Coordinators and Planners within the Development Services business unit. Prepare documents and correspondence relating to Development Applications. Create and process authorised Consents related to Development Applications. Applicant management relating to Development Applications.

Processing DA withdrawal, cancellations and refunds. Generate 735A Certificates. Prepare DA Court documentation within strict timeframes. Collect and compile information for, and prepare documents and correspondence, and meeting agendas/presentations/minutes, in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making.

Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures. Respond to email and phone enquiries, communicate services and resolve, escalate or redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information. Update and maintain records and databases to ensure that all information is accurately and correctly stored and accessible. Review Business Unit administrative practices, systems and procedures to enhance unit efficiency and support delivery of quality outcomes.

About you we are looking for someone who can work as a supportive and cooperative team member and has the following background and expertise Minimum secondary school completion and/or relevant experience. Local Government Experience is desirable. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills. Administration experience in a busy team environment.
