Administration Officer YLO (Residential Care Services) Pty Ltd location Brisbane. $34.04 per hour.

YLO (Residential Care Services) is a private company that currently operates within South East QLD providing accommodation and support services to children and young people under the care and protection of the Department of Children, Youth Justice & Multicultural Affairs across South East and South West Queensland.

Our services are grounded within a therapeutic context. We move beyond the basic daily care needs of the young person and focus on the assessment and delivery of individual programs that maximise potential for success and attainment of goals central to the child/young person's developing self. We are seeking a permanent part time Administration Officer for 2 days a week, with the working days being Thursday & Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

This is a busy and challenging role and requires someone with a can-do attitude.  The duties that you undertake are being the first point of contact in Reception and for all incoming calls. Arrange and coordinate maintenance repairs at our Residentials, including obtaining quotes, scheduling tradespersons and ensuring work by Contractors is completed.

Liaising with Real Estate agents in relation to our Residentials for repairs and matters relating to the lease. Collate information to complete quarterly reports for the Department. Providing administrative support to Head Office staff. Perform as an effective team member.

To be successful in this role an office all rounder that can use your initiative and be self-motivated to get the job done. Have effective problem solving skills. Have the ability to multi task and switch priorities when required.

The position is not office bound, at times for example you will be out of the office picking up goods, undertaking inspections/audits of our Residentials based in Northern Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan and Victoria Point, dropping vehicles to be serviced or repaired or meeting trades people at the Residentials.

Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in general office administration/reception. Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel. Well developed interpersonal and written skills. Strong Customer Service skills. Effective time management and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of team. Respect for, and understanding of, confidentiality and privacy provisions. Experience within the Child Protection, Community Services or Real Estate field would be highly regarded. Valid QLD drivers licence.
