Administration Officer Healthscope location Melbourne.

Our Administration team provides excellent customer service to patients and their families. We have a full-time vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the hospital's admissions, reception and theatre administration functions.

This position has a diversity of responsibilities, specifically pre-admission duties and theatre bookings duties. The pre-admission responsibilities will include patient health fund insurance eligibility checks. Patient contact prior to admission to ensure completeness of admission paperwork. Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry.

The theatre bookings responsibilities will include booking elective and emergency surgical and medical patients into the hospital. Respond to enquires (both internal and external) in a friendly and professional manner. Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities. Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection.

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 122 patient bed, major tertiary referral hospital, located on the edge of Melbourne CBD, where we share a precinct with the prestigious Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).

Selection criteria experience in a patient-facing role in an acute Healthcare facility/Hospital. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments. Experience in MS Office. WebPas Hospital system experience. Experience in verifying a patient's Health fund insurance eligibility.
