Administration Officer Southern District Health Board location Otago.
If you would like to be part of the National Immunisation Register (NIR) team based at Wakari Hospital, this may be the job you have been looking for. You will have a keen eye and ability to undertake detective work. You will also need to have a strong attention to detail along with sound communication and IT skills to help ensure the efficient running of the NIR Administration team. You'll be using electronic information systems, some paper based files and input accurate data to the database.
We seek an Administrator with strong IT skills and the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel, good touch-typing speed and accuracy, plus the confidence to pick up patient management systems and relevant computer programmes. You'll also have excellent organisational ability, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a dedicated team. A friendly 'can do' team approach is required along with excellent customer service skills, phone manner and computer speed and accuracy.
Given the nature of the work undertaken in this role and in this environment, it is also an absolute requirement that you understand and can demonstrate clear boundaries with regards to all aspects of privacy.
