About the Service our National Immigration Support Service (NISS) provides a broad range of support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees who are living in the Australian community while their immigration status is resolved. Life Without Barriers is the largest national provider of the Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS), contracted by the Department of Home Affairs. Due to recent growth and extended funding we are now able to provide our service to more people seeking asylum and refugee status in Australia. Border Protection (DIBP). About the role in the role of Administration Officer, your job will be to provide administrative support to the service and assistance to the Operations Manager and Site Managers to ensure the team can provide the best possible service to our clients. Duties will include documenting information for HR processes i.e. – timesheets and employee documentation, booking meetings, updating staff diaries, collating information for reports, fleet management and general adhoc administration duties delegated by the Operations Manager. The role will be located in our Parramatta office and it will be a part time position (preferably Mon to Wed). Skills & Experience high level administrative skills and experience in providing support and assistance to management, strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, ability to use initiative in the work place and demonstrate problem solving skills, effective time management and organisational skills, demonstrated ability in using microsoft office suite programs, demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, current driver’s licence. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
