Deaf Connect is looking for an Administration Officer, Quality & Compliance with a keen eye for detail and a passion for compliance. This role will be responsible for undertaking administration tasks to support the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) service of the Education Team to meet all obligations under ASQA’s Standards for RTOs 2015, as well as funding contracts and quality standards under ISO 9001.

The position will report to the Senior Coordinator, Compliance and work with others within the team to ensure high quality Auslan programs are delivered. The role is for a 4 to 5 days per week fixed term contract till May 2023.

Current opportunity your role will include ensuring course materials for students are prepared prior to courses starting. Liaising with the workforce team and trainers to track assessment completions and rolls.

Collecting and managing the storage of student assessments, and entering the status of student achievement in the Student Management System, Maintaining adequate student records, Supporting the compliance team to develop, review and maintain procedures and work instructions in the key phases of the student journey,

Ensuring quality practices and systems are managed and compliance maintained, including continuous improvement register and complaints,assisting the senior coordinator, compliance with avetmiss and other reporting requirements and providing reports on activity as required, assisting with quality assurance and internal audit processes.

Assisting with setting up classes on the website and controlling opening and closing of classes, responding to emails in the shared rto email inbox that relate to quality and compliance issues in a timely manner, other rto related tasks as required and at the discretion of the senior coordinator.

Compliance to succeed in this role, you'll have essential rto experience. Experience and knowledge of using a Student Management System i.e. AXcelerate and Moodle with particular knowledge of workflow processes.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Skills with Microsoft Applications: MS Teams, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet). Attention to detail. Sound organisational and time management skills. Positive and flexible attitude.

Desirable  knowledge of the deaf community, language and culture. Before you start, you'll need ndis worker screening check. Completed ndis worker orientation module (we can assist with this). Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
