Administration Officer Simonds Catholic College location Melbourne.

Simonds Catholic College is a secondary school of 411 boys, located across two inner city campuses in West Melbourne and Fitzroy North. Our Vision is to develop confident, well-rounded young men who have hope for their future.

The Role -  (Fixed Contract to 20 December 2022). The Administration Officer is a multiskilled administrative position supporting the good organisation and management of the College. The person will have an empathy with the Catholic ethos of the College. Subject to the College's requirements, the role may be extended.

Attributes & competencies the Administration Officer is expected to exhibit the following qualities and competencies a lively, multiskilled and practical team person. A firm belief in, and commitment to, the mission and vision and Core values of the College and an ability to articulate and promote these. Demonstrate good communication, planning, administration, and finance skills.

Highly developed computer skills with experience in relevant software including Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Synergetic, ICON and SIMON. Participate in different Professional Learning activities that the College offers. Demonstrate an understanding of key priorities of the legal requirements surrounding child safety. The Administration Officer reports to the Business Manager.

Specific duties the Administration Officer is the first point of contact for the College at the reception, providing courteous and efficient customer service. Administration tasks include preparation of communications to parents, updating of information for access by students, parents, and staff, working with the following information systems; SIMON, PAM, Synergetic and ICON, maintaining student enrolment information and registering student attendances. Finance tasks include receipting fees and charges and account payable. The Administration Officer also attends to students that require first aid.

Remuneration this position will be a fixed contract full-time position to 20 December 2022. Depending upon qualifications and experience, the salary will be in the range of a Level 1 -  Level 2 Education Support Employee Category C under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2018.  Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata of 7 weeks annual leave.
