Administration OfficerLink-Up (Qld) Aboriginal Corporation supports the healing journeys of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have been separated from their families and communities through forced removal, adoption, fostering or institutionalisation.  We deliver professional, culturally sensitive, and confidential research, reunion, and cultural wellbeing services.

We provide our service in a sensitive, confidential, and culturally appropriate manner and use all available resources to assist those looking to find their family. The role The Administration Officer is responsible for the head office reception and assisting in the general office administration and duties for the office.

The role will focus on the management of all aspects of the front office and reception area whilst supporting Link-Up (Qld) staff in the provision of quality services to the clients. Excellent communication skills, impeccable phone manner and reliability are requirements for this role. This is a full-time role based in Woolloongabba. This is a fixed term contract until December 2023 with a possibility of extension.

Essential Selection criteria demonstrated understanding of the history, culture and impacts of the forcible removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other stakeholders.

Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as a member of a team. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of business technology and desktop applications including Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in terms of attendance. Demonstrated an ability to self manage and complete tasks on time. Demonstrate personal drive and integrity through high level professionalism, resilience, and self-awareness. Ability to travel for work purposes. Willingness to undertake a National Police Check. Eligible for Blue Card. Current Drivers Licence.
