The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a non-formal education and learning framework operating in more than 130 countries and territories around the world, through which young people’s achievements outside of academia are recognised and celebrated.
The team at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia is the engine that drives and supports the Award’s growth, access, and impact across Australia.
The Award helps to inspire tens of thousands of young people in Australia every year. There are more than 40,000 young people currently completing their own unique Award program via thousands of youth-focused partners and operators, including schools and community organisations around the country.
Our goal by 2025 is that 75,000 young people are engaging in the Award each year and that 25% of them are from at risk and marginalised communities for whom the Award can be truly life changing.
About the role the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia is seeking an Administration Assistant to support the National Office team. We are looking for someone who is motivated and organised, has good communication skills, an eye for detail with digital/database skills in this multi-faceted role.
You will be critical to the administration functions of the business. Based in the city, Monday to Friday, you will be the first point of contact and your professionalism will be essential to the organisation’s success.
The office support duties will involve a range of administrative duties, including meeting and greeting visitors coming into National Office, managing incoming telephone calls, event support, database support, running errands within the CBD and providing general support to the National Office team.
This role is best suited to someone with the following skills: highly organised; able to multi-task; medium level Microsoft Office suite; strong verbal and written skills; advanced problem solving skills and the ability work autonomously.
