Established in 1990, Philip Chun provides building code, accessibility and essential services consulting to the construction and development industry.  Our staff consist of accredited Building Surveyors, Inspectors and Consultants, Airport Building Controllers, Access Consultants, Essential Services Consultants including Accredited Practitioners (Fire Safety) as well as established and professional support staff.

The opportunity philip Chun is seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join our Melbourne Airport Office for 2 days a week. This is a permanent part-time role with the potential of additional hours in the future.

Key responsibilities working in a support role assisting the Airport Building Controller, you will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks working closely with the Senior Administration Officer, you will be providing administration support to the building surveying team and maintain the smooth running of day-to-day office activities.

Preparation of Building Permits/Occupancy Permits. Processing of online portal applications & electronic filing. Liaise with Applicants, Airport Stakeholders, Designers and Department Representatives. Timesheet reporting & ad-hoc collation of data. Co-ordination of inspection bookings. First point of contact for general customer service and application queries.

Essential criteria the successful applicant must display the following to be considered for this role excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Well developed time management, organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframe and prioritise accordingly. Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate, whilst also being a team player. Maintain a positive attitude to work. Previous experience in a Building Surveying / Engineering / Local Government Office would be highly advantageous.
