We are seeking a highly motivated, efficient and professional administration assistant/receptionist to join the Statewide Progressive Neurological Disease (PND) Service.

About the role we are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy health care setting.

Our Administration team plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service. The Statewide Progressive Neurological Service is a specialist provider of multidisciplinary assessment.

Management and  support services for people with complex needs due to a diagnosed PND such as Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsonian Syndromes.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a service that makes a genuine difference in the lives of the brave people who living with one of these challenging diagnoses.

Key responsibilities answering telephone calls, booking appointments, assisting with the management of referrals, updating patient records, providing administrative support in meetings.

What you bring ability to provide administrative and organisational support in a public health environment. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a demanding and busy environment.

Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment and autonomously. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated problem solving, prioritization, time management, communication skills, and effectively follow directions.

Expertise in all aspects of medical office operations – including Medicare billing,  referral management, appointment scheduling(via ipm), Health Information Systems, Microsoft Office Suite products as well as text messaging and videoconferencing systems.

Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
