Administration Assistant Department of Communities and Justice location Sydney.
Your role the work of the Civil Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Public Law team is interesting and diverse. The team is growing, and this is an opportune time to join us as we strive to provide our clients with excellent legal advice and value adds.
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to provide a high degree of clerical and administrative support in a high-volume working environment.
Ability to act as a key administrative point of contact within the division and ensure tasks are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Working with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workload, and managing competing deadlines to a high level of accuracy.
What you'll do the Administration Assistant provides support services to enable the efficient operation of the team.
Key accountabilities assist with processing legal matters by creating files, drafting documents, and undertaking records searches. Comply with recordkeeping business rules in creating and filing records.
Update records and databases, complying with records management processes, to ensure information is accurate, stored correctly, and accessible. Collect and compile information to support the development of documentation and reports.
Respond to enquiries and requests for information. Assist with arranging meetings and recording minutes and actions as required. Assist the team/unit to coordinate activities that support the implementation of team projects.
What we're looking for experience in providing high-level administrative and clerical support and excellent client service. Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances.
National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014. Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
