Administration Assistant The University of Queensland Rugby Club location Brisbane.
About us established in 1911, the University of Queensland Rugby Club is one of Australia’s most successful and prestigious community sporting clubs. It has a rich tradition is producing quality rugby players and human beings. The Club has strong varsity ties to the University of Queensland and currently has eleven (11) rugby teams, including a women’s team and a wheelchair rugby team. Our clubhouse is based on the UQ St. Lucia campus.
About the role UQ Rugby Club is looking for a part-time Administration Assistant, reporting directly to the General Manager. We are looking for someone to undertake approximately 15 – 20 hours per week for around 40 weeks per year, with some flexibility. In this role you will work autonomously, as well as with the support of an enthusiastic, small team.
Responsibilities of the role include assisting with the club accounts and financials. Managing and executing the operations of the Clubhouse. Providing support around the registration of players. Assisting with the management of team apparel and club merchandise. Assisting the Events and Communications Manager with the administration around our 16 events.
About you demonstrate relevant experience in an administrative role (minimum 3 years). Excellent organisation, attention to detail and administrative skills. Understanding of basic financial administration. Knowledge of Square, Stripe and TryBooking is highly regarded but not essential.
Experience in a sporting environment would be beneficial, but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and develop positive relationships with external parties;. A positive attitude with a willingness to ‘get your hands dirty’ when required.
