The Division is supported by several national functions including Human Resources, Officer Recruitment, Information Technology, Public Relations and Fundraising, Quality and Professional Standards, Property and Volunteers Management.
About the role we have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative support to the Division including the Area and Corps Officers and Divisional staff.
Responsibilities include screen and action incoming calls and persons presenting to the office. Sort, screen, process and distribute mail. Ensure property and maintenance issues are addressed. Maintain all requirements for pool car including booking, car servicing, cleaning etc.
Organise travel and accommodation bookings. Purchasing of office supplies. Assist with preparing content and coordinate distribution of Divisional communications including newsletters, websites and events calendars. Divisional invoices are processed. Assist in the logistical management and implementation of events within the Division. Work collaboratively with the broader Divisional team to ensure administration needs and processes are supported. Office induction procedures are in place for new employees.
Reporting to the Assistant Divisional Commander, this position is a permanent full time, based at the Victorian State Office in Mitcham (onsite). Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award, Level 3.

You will have certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent (desired). Demonstrated equivalent and relevant administrative experience, knowledge and skills. Understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and values of The Salvation Army. Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check. Willingness to undergo a national criminal history and work eligibility check.
