Your opportunity the Canterbury Bankstown  youth service are on the lookout for a Intake and Administration Officer to manage and complete a range of administrative tasks vital to the efficient running of the office, including supporting other employees to complete administration duties in an accurate and timely manner. You will be assisting the case managers with finding clients accommodation and filing and completing paperwork.

Your key responsibilities will be to create and coordinate appointments and meetings as requested by the Program Manager. Monitor and review service expenditure against service budgets. Manage all intake client referrals as advised by the Program Manager to ensure effective service delivery. Gather eligibility documentation for clients requesting brokerage.

Carry a caseload of clients eligible for Transitional housing, Rent Choice Youth including other programs under CBYS as advised by the Program Manager. Ensure that all required internal and external client paperwork is completed and copies kept on MA Connect. Contribute to internal and external reports relating to clients including case management statistics.

Complete a range of administration tasks for services under the Program Managers portfolio. Manage clients and visitors attending or exiting the service site. Complete a range of financial tasks including, invoicing, stock take, client brokerage report, client board, banking, petty cash, journals. Prepare documents as required including correspondence clients leasing paperwork etc.

Requirements for success previous experience in administrative role and the ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of administrative activities. Previous financial experience including accounts payable, petty cash management and monitoring of budgets. Competent in using computer packages such as Office 2016 including Word, Excel and Power-Point.

Ability to work in a complex, high work volume environment. Qualification in Administration, Business, and/or relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated understanding of and sensitivity towards vulnerable clients with complex needs.

Experience in the provision of welfare support to vulnerable people is highly desired. Ability to organize and prioritise work. Ability to travel for training and work commitments as required. Demonstrated experience in exercising sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality Well-developed written.
