Admin Assistant ASH NZ location Auckland.

Action for Smokefree 2025 (ASH NZ) is looking for an experienced Admin Assistant to join our team based in Auckland. We are looking for someone who is personable, extremely organised and wanting to take ownership of internal events, and the responsibilities associated with organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to general administrative duties for ASH (reporting to the Director). Supporting the ASH Year 10 Snapshot Survey (reporting to the Researcher). Coordination of meetings (including agenda, minute taking, and action lists). Managing procurement processes. Managing stationery, office and mailing supplies. Coordination of printing (internal and external) and mailing. Contact and liaison with schools, Survey mailout and returns.

You must also have strong organisational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with staff and key stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Computer skills including use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

This is a part-time contractor role, and hours will vary during the year based on workload. Generally, 10-20 hours will be required per week. There is some flexibility in terms of days of the week and start times (though these must be weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm).
