The Accounts Team Member is a role that is based at our Kent Town Campus and we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative team member with great work ethics to join our equally minded team. The Accounts Team Member will assist in the everyday invoicing, salaries and follow up of payments and is a vital contributor to the smooth running of the day-to-day accounts functions of the business.
Key responsibilities high level of involvement in accounting activities relating to the client and service provider base. Being the first point of contact for accounting queries so there must be demonstration as a confident and easy communicator when dealing with customers, staff and other contractors.
Initiating invoices for clients, students and service providers. Compiling salary slips for all staff and creating ABA files for payment by the CEO. Uploading information to the ATO via the Single Touch Payroll system. Completing and finalising Superannuation monthly via Xero. Managing account queries from Service Providers and students.
Ensure the effective utilisation of the accounting software for salaries and invoicing. Experience with accounts management. All accounts and administrative functions are performed in their entirety to the highest level of accuracy in accordance to company, Australian Taxation Office and sundry guidelines. Provide general support to staff and the CEO to meet everyday queries
Qualifications tertiary qualification (or be working towards) in Bookkeeping, Finance or Accounts or equivalent. National Police Clearance.
Necessary abilities adept use of MS products, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel. Adept use of Xero. Ability to manage the appropriate software and invoicing system. A level of autonomy is required so maturity and focus are needed. Commitment to the values and culture of the organisation
Hours of work This role is permanent part-time 11 hours per week (09.00 - 14.30) based across two days either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday with potential to grow the hours with business expansion.
