The company our client, a supplier of diversified industrial automation products, is a multinational organization backed by a $30 billion global company. They've recently completed a successful ERP implementation, and with the Brisbane office leading this change across the Australian business, they now have an opening for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team of six.

This position is full-time and permanent, with one day per week available for remote work from home. You will join a high-performing team led by an experienced CFO who will mentor you and actively foster your career development, investing in your professional growth.

Reporting directly to the Finance manager, your responsibilities include manage invoice receipt, review, and processing, ensuring accurate coding and authorization. Maintain vendor accounts and support account reconciliation. Execute payment processing, reconcile batches, and ensure prompt remittance.

Contribute to month-end activities including closing procedures, financial reporting, and conducting ad hoc analyses. Handle employee expense reports to ensure policy compliance and timely reimbursement. Uphold internal controls, regulatory requirements, and actively participate in process enhancement initiatives.

Establish new supplier accounts and validate banking information. Perform daily bank reconciliations and allocate payments accordingly. Reconcile statements, pursue overdue balances, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.

About you ideally, we seek candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an Australian business. You excel as the reliable go-to person, demonstrating confidence in embracing change and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
