The role mercy Community Services has an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer experience to join our Corporate Team based in Nudgee. This a Permanent Full-Time position.

This role is responsible for supporting the accounts payable and finance administration functions including timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchasing reviews and other assistance to the transactional services team. Salary Commensurate with experience plus super plus generous salary packaging available.

What you’ll be doing

Key responsibilities include process a high volume of invoices, including employee reimbursements and petty cash. Weekly purchasing reviews including following up unreceipted POs and suggesting action for the administrator to clear. Assist with resolving unreconciled transactions including matching or journaling for all bank accounts. Assist in supplier mailbox and supplier data maintenance.

Assist with credit card administration including new card applications, card amendments, card cancellations, credit card/expense management system administration, and maintenance of the Credit Card Mailbox including responding to queries/requests. Assist with accounts payable ad hoc and weekly payment runs.

Assist in preparation of monthly creditor/vendor reconciliations. Assist in the research, development, implementation, training and review of process or system improvements for the Transactional Team. Any additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Finance Officer-Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounts Manager or Finance Manager.

About you demonstrated Accounts Payable experience within a high-volume transactional environment. High level ability to use/navigate computer IT systems including data base management, ERP systems, MS Word and Excel. Previous experience with Technology One is advantageous, but not compulsory. Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
