Public Sector People, in collaboration with our esteemed client, is seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join a dynamic team in the Local Council Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. Position Accounts Payable Officer - Temporary Contract. Contract Length ASAP Start until March 2024. Location Local Council Eastern Suburbs Melbourne. Salary $40 per hour + super.

Job requirements as an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for processing creditor payments through the Council’s financial management system in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, and in line with specified payment terms. Reconciling proposed payment reports and obtaining authorization before cheque production.

Ensuring that requests for cheques are duly authorized and supported by the necessary invoices and documentation. Completing all reconciliations associated with the Accounts Payable function, including prescribed Payment Tax payments, Creditor statements when required, and proposed payment reports.

Qualifications previous experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion is highly preferred, or similar experience in government, not-for-profit, or education sectors. Relevant tertiary education in a related field, preferably in Accounting.
