Accounts Payable Officer Bastion Collective location Melbourne. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our national Finance Team. This role is perfect for somebody who is task driven with a fun personality and able to complete essential functions in a timely manner. You must have at least 5 years experience in accounts payable, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Key accountabilities record, code, and process a high volume of invoices in an accurate and timely manner, record, code and process credit card transactions, adherence to purchase order procedures, record, code and process staff expense reimbursements and other claims (allowances, etc), reconcile supplier statements, handle supplier queries by providing excellent customer service. Other important tasks accounts receivable/debtor collection, communicating with staff regarding supplier payments, updating supplier / customer information in xero (email addresses, bank account details, etc), assistance with cash flow reporting, staff/contractor relationships and terms of contract, other ad hoc tasks as directed. Skills, Attributes and qualifications a minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable and fulfilling similar role requirements, a solid understanding of financial principles, accounting and bookkeeping, thorough attention to detail and reconciliation skills, considerable experience with online accounting systems (xero preferred), ability to work autonomously and also be a key contributor to the finance team, excellent written and verbal communication, and an outstanding phone manner, intermediate/advanced knowledge of microsoft excel, appreciation of confidentiality requirements of position.
