Accounts Payable OEG Offshore Pty Ltd location Melbourne. Salary $55,000 - $59,999 Pro-rata plus. OEG Offshore specialises in selling and renting an extensive range of cargo-carrying containers to the Oil & Gas Industry throughout the world. Our Australian operation has service locations in Vic, WA, and NT, and a three person Finance Office in Melbourne CBD. We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. Located in one of Melbourne's prestigious buildings at 333 Collins Street, we are a few minutes walk from Finders Street Station, have a Tram stop at the door, and all the benefits of a modern, dynamic serviced office space. Reporting directly to the Australian Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include daily processing of invoices, statement reconciliations, liaising with our 6 depots, checking accuracy and consistency of ledger & project codes, dealing with supplier queries, following up invoices from suppliers, subcontractors and depots, preparing payment runs, reconciling credit card purchases, monthly reporting, assisting the finance manager with month end close procedures and reporting. Skills & experience ap systems - we use a uk designed modular system called dimensions, so experience using different customised accounting and information systems is advantageous, ap and general accounting principles/ procedures, understanding of gst and withholding tax principles within an export/import environment, great communication skills both verbal & written, a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy in a high volume work environment, ability to deliver on tight deadlines, strong microsoft excel skills, enjoy working in a small team and autonomously as required. This is a Permanent Part Time role of 20 hours (5 days by 4 hours) with leave benefits accrued on a pro rata basis. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, keen to learn and who would be available for additional hours during peak periods if needed.
