Duties and responsibilities the accounts officer role is responsible for the effective preparation and maintenance of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for their nominated departments.  The role requires a high level of liaison and coordination between internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively perform their role. Organisational skills and an ability to rearrange priorities are a major asset for this position reporting into the accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to daily, weekly, monthly preparation of customer invoices, interpretation of contractual billable rate, ensuring customer invoices are sent to the customer in a timely manner, control of the accounts receivable sub ledger, managing the reduction of average debt levels, data processing of accounts payable invoices relating to relevant department, preparation of prompt and scheduled payments to suppliers, control of accounts payable sub ledger. Skills and experience previous accounts experience is highly desirable, intermediate microsoft office skills (word, excel and outlook), ability to manage self, manage tasks and work well under pressure, speed and accurate typing, exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, well presented, great time management skills.
