Accounts Clerk Eclipse Recruitment Ltd location Auckland.

Our client is a North Shore based primary school. This enviable opportunity is now available for the first time in more than 25 years. As the school Accounts Clerk you will be responsible for Payroll, AP, AR, reconciliations, and HR Administration. You will also prepare board reports and liaise with the chartered accountant for year end. This is a great opportunity to work within a cohesive team while having ownership and autonomy in your role.

Key tasks payroll reconciliation in Novapay. HR contracts and administration duties. Assembly Student Management System. Board Reporting. A willingness to chip in where needed.

About you ideally you will come from an accounting of bookkeeping background and have a good understanding of the general ledger, payroll, and HR administration. You will have ability to work to deadlines and a general “can do” attitude with a strong eye for detail. You will be able to keep accurate and detailed records and have a clear understanding of accounting / bookkeeping practices. You will be able to interpret financial summaries. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy talking with the children, adults, and senior staff members.

Skills required intermediate to advanced Excel Skills. Novapay (preferred). Sound understanding of the general ledger and reporting. Good sound knowledge of accountancy and bookkeeping. Google Doc’s. A knowledge of Xero is beneficial but not necessary.

Previous experience working in a school environment would be an advantage. A current First Aid certificate or a willingness to complete the course to obtain one. The hours are 9am  - 4pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have a clean criminal and credit history.
