The role we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting functions across multiple companies. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for accuracy.
Key responsibilities assist in managing daily accounting tasks for multiple entities. Support the preparation of monthly management reports, ensuring accurate cost allocation. Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Handle vendor discrepancies and disputes, resolving billing or payment issues efficiently. Manage invoice processing across multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Assist in maintaining and coordinating financial and non-financial records.
Complete and review required forms for internal and external processes. Organise and file documents systematically for easy retrieval and compliance. Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts. Assist in preparing GST returns.
Skills and Qualifications 2 years' experience within an Accounting or Finance role. Proven experience in account reconciliation, invoice processing, and vendor payments. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
Excellent organisational and document management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for handling supplier and vendor queries. Experience in using xero or similar accounting software.
