Coastal Advice Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our financial planning team. This role is based in our Newcastle office, with flexibility for WFH and working hours for the right candidate.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accounts department operates smoothly on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements and credit cards, handling payroll, managing expense reports and reimbursements, and assisting with BAS and tax compliance – essentially keeping everything on track. If you excel at these tasks, this role is a perfect fit for you.
What you will need for this role 2 or more years of experience in a similar role, with strong bookkeeping knowledge. Previous expense with Xero, experience with Employment Hero is an advantage. Excellent communication and time management skills.
The ability to self-manage your workload and meet deadlines. Knowledge of state and federal legislation related to Income Tax, GST, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, etc. Expert knowledge of MS Excel. A friendly, positive, can-do attitude.
