The role we are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Department based in Thornton.  We are only a small team, so we need someone who is a motivated self-starter and has experience in Accounts.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and police check.   Ideally our new team member will commence with us ASAP.

The position on offer is permanent part-time 3-4 days a week 8 hour days with Friday a must and also the possibility of fulltime for the right candidate if required.  This is a generalist role with the perfect person to learn all roles so we have coverage for all team members to have leave when required, we need the work to continue to flow as this will contribute to the efficiency and success of our little team and growing business.

Receiving and managing all incoming phone calls utilising 3CX phone app. Purchasing/Procurement – Experience working with multiple jobs and cost centres with attention to detail for adding line items. Accounts Payable - Processing of tax invoices in Simpro & Xero. Reconciling of statements for end of month. Payment of creditor batches. Reconciling - Bank reconciliation. Credit card reconciling. Experience in the process of accounts receivable would be an advantage.

About you ideally our new team member will have experience in Xero (Accounts) and Simpro (Accounts/Procurement) however we are more than happy to provide full training for these packages to the right person. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Motivation, initiative and being a self-starter is a must as we are a busy team. Effective communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to liaise with people on all levels of an organization and maintain effective relationships. Outstanding organizational skills.

Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Able to work in a team environment and share workloads is a must as the office is fact paced and ever-changing flexibility is a must.
