Accounts Assistant Boffa Miskell Limited location Canterbury.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, professional, motivated and highly organised Finance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 25 to 30 hours a week), to assist with monthly financial tasks. Workloads vary during the month, so being flexible around working hours may be an advantage. This role can be based in either our Christchurch or Wellington office.
This role is part of a National team of seven finance professionals who excel at what they do. You’ll be an important part of the team from day one, working closely with other Finance members to provide quality financial services to our consultants.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a quality financial service to our consultants through invoicing – being a critical part of the invoicing process for the office, including preparation and finalisation of invoices. Accounts payable – ensuring correct coding, approval and entry of supplier invoices. Accounts receivable – assisting with credit control.
Disbursements – ensuring internal and external disbursements are appropriately charged to projects. System information/management – amending client and project information and helping consultants with our project delivery system. Financial support – assisting with project budgets.
We are seeking candidates who have the following skills, attributes and experience at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel. Well-developed numeric skills. Are highly organised, proactive, reliable and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks in a timely fashion.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both in-person and over the phone. A collaborative working style, and the ability to relate to a diverse range of people. An excellent eye for detail. Strong problem-solving skills to trouble shoot on-the-fly. The legal right to work within NZ.
