Accounts and Administration Officer EastCoast HR Group location Sunshine Coast. $70,000 per year.
The client, our client is the oldest and largest private group of Anaesthetists on the Sunshine Coast. They currently have over 52 members (and growing) providing anaesthetic services from Caboolture to Noosa. Working in a team environment of 12 currently, the position requires a wide range of duties, as necessary to provide the appropriate level of support to the practice manager and clients.
About the position we are looking for a proactive person with a positive attitude, focus on team work, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks within accounts administration, billing, and general administrative support including reception backup.
You will have strong demonstrated computer competencies in office applications, a professional phone manner and display a high level of initiative and problem solving.
Your primary duties will include assisting the practice manager with diary management, medical software, and administrative support. Handle patient queries and bookings both over the phone and at the counter. Providing estimates / quotes for anaesthetic services associated with surgeries.
Liaise extensively with external providers i.e. – surgeons rooms, hospitals and day surgeries. Billing to patients upon completion of surgeries, receipting and following up on outstanding accounts. Book anaesthetists for surgeries on an ad-hoc basis. Provide financial reports to anaesthetists i.e. banking, invoicing, outstanding patient accounts.
Knowledge, skills and experience required advanced computer skills, including a high level of proficiency with Word and Excel (skills testing will be required for all shortlisted candidates). Ability to quickly adapt to learning new software and processes. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Fast and accurate data entry with attention to detail paramount. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work commitments in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work autonomously and also within a team, bringing a collaborative attitude and team focus.
Key attributes medical administration and/or billing experience is essential. Prior experience working either for an anaesthetic or medical practice is highly regarded, Team player. Ability to communicate with people at all levels with a high level of respect and professionalism. Respects confidentiality.
