Accounts Administrator Want Cotton location Katherine and Northern Australia NT. $70,000 – $80,000 per year.

Full-time permanent position (Monday to Friday). Onsite role at state-of-the-art cotton gin, Katherine, NT. Salary package commensurate with experience circa $70,000-$80,000 p.a. + superannuation .

With WANT Cotton & Tipperary Group of Stations, you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the cotton industry's burgeoning development in Northern Australia. As the Accounts Administrator, you will manage the cotton ginning facility's day-to-day operational accounting and bookkeeping functions independently.

Key responsibilities will include overseeing daily financial transactions. Maintaining accurate financial records. Controlling accounts payable/receivable. Preparing the submission of new staff paperwork and timesheets to the external payroll provider .

Preparing monthly financial information for management and external accountants. Collaborating with other departments and external accountants on financial matters. Front office and reception duties. Relief weighbridge management duties as required.

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and the cotton ginning industry (which can be learnt on the job) and the ability to use Excel and accounting software effectively to support the facility's financial management.

You'll bring previous experience in accounting or booking role preferably within the agricultural industry. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with (or a willingness to develop) an understanding of cotton ginning processes, seasonal operations, and cottonseed inventory management.

Proficiency in using Excel and accounting software and other relevant computer applications, as well as precision in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to management and stakeholders and collaborate with other departments.
