About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team based in Sydney. This role plays a critical part in supporting the business through insightful analysis of company performance and the delivery of timely, accurate management information.

You will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly production reports, executive summaries, and supporting external reporting. The role also involves driving improvements in reporting systems and practices, partnering with cost centre owners, and contributing to financial statement preparation.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and consolidating monthly management reports and executive summaries
Performing reconciliations and ensuring data accuracy
Providing commentary on operational and financial performance
Supporting cost analysis and business partnering across the organisation
Assisting in the Site Quarterly Bonus process
Driving improvements in reporting processes and systems, including BI tools

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior finance leaders in a collaborative and transparent team environment, contributing to strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

About you

You are a qualified accounting professional (CPA or CA), or currently working towards your designation, with a 3+ years’ experience in management accounting and financial analysis— with mining experience being an advantage. You bring a strong understanding of business driver-based reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and thrive in a complex, consolidated group reporting environment.

Your strengths include:

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in charting and report writing
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Pronto)
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
