Accountant Ultegra location Sydney Parramatta & Western Suburbs. Ultegra is an industry leading utilities and infrastructure specialist service provider. Ultegra are recruiting a financial controller with strong management and accounting skills. Knowledge of the electrical and/or civil construction industries would be beneficial. The role is based at Ultegra Head Office in Western Sydney but will also require some work at the shared services office in Goulburn. The role is open to flexible (or part time) working arrangements. The role manage the monthly accounting closing processes and reporting to the board, manage the relationship with external services providers i.e. accounting shared service centre, external tax and bookkeeping services providers, coordinate the flow of accounting related information from each of the business departments (engineering & construction, operations & maintenance and others) to the external service providers, prepare the list of accounts payable in accordance with contractual payment terms or invoices on a monthly basis, supervise the proper recognition of accounting events into the books of the entities, covering all areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general accounting, intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations, proactively identify the accounting impact of extraordinary transactions in the businesses kpis and confirm the accounting treatments of such transactions. To be successful in the role, you will have bachelor’s degree in accounting. Professional qualification in Accounting (e.g. CA or CPA). 5-10 years of professional experience in an accounting related field, exposure to the energy sector shall be considered an asset. Team working ability with hands-on approach and self-starter attitude. Analytical thinking with decision-making skills and ability to operate across cultures and company layers. Ability to work in a growing company environment and set up/implement group procedures and systems in the Australian perimeter. The successful applicant must have the rights to live and work in Australia. Current drivers licence.
