Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing professional with strong skills and experience in complaint management, integrity matters and investigations to join ECU’s Legal and Integrity Team. Legal and Integrity is one of five functional areas within Strategic and Governance Services and provides comprehensive advice on University legal, compliance and integrity related matters. Matters that relate to dispute resolution, student appeals, complaints (public and student), integrity and internal investigative services are also provided from within this area.

The Role
This pivotal role is responsible for leading and managing complaints (public and student), undertaking investigations relating to integrity at the University, including staff and student misconduct, and providing comprehensive integrity, complaint and investigative advice to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
Resolving complaints from students and the public, ensuring timely and fair outcomes.
Advising on compliance with internal misconduct and integrity policies, including sexual harm, conflicts of interest, gifts, and fraud.
Addressing concerns from or reportable to external statutory and regulatory organisations, ensuring compliance with external requirements.
Conducting or facilitating investigations related to integrity of staff or students.
Supporting SGS members and committees, including serving as an adviser and executive officer to the Student Appeals Committee or other University areas.

Whilst applications from candidates with experience within Higher Education experience will be highly regarded, applicants with strong government compliance, integrity and complaint experience will also be favourably considered.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, Ongoing position attracts remuneration of $115,042 to $129,573 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
