Administration Assistant NZ Association of Counsellors location Wellington. Salary $45,000 - $49,999.
New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) is a not for profit organisation in Wellington representing 3,000 counsellors across New Zealand. Our National Office is a small team and requires a key person to be the main contact for members and support the administration of the organisation. This is a 12-month contract position.
We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and a friendly upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to assist management and all visitors to the office. Managing office tasks, providing friendly and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, making travel arrangements, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.
To be successful as an Administrative Assistant, candidates should be professional, friendly, supportive, and attentive. They should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. Administrative Assistant must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and good with both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, to have a genuine desire to support the team and members of NZAC.
Administrative assistant responsibilities handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies. Manage all in and out mail efficiently. Making travel arrangements, such as booking flights, and making hotel reservations. Responding to phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
Greet and assist visitors to the office. Support Executive Director and Membership Manager with photocopying, data entry and general duties. Manage the website to ensure that material is uploaded when required. Help-desk role for members. Update membership, branch details and other features as required on the database. Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Administrative assistant skills and requirements friendly, supportive and helpful. Prior administrative experience. Excellent computer skills and data entry. Attention to detail. Website knowledge.
