This is a newly created position working with a not-for-profit organisation who support the NDIS sector in Melbourne CBD. A unique opportunity to work with a growing business who are truly making a positive impact within the sector. The organisation lives and breathes it's values and are looking for a new Finance Support individual to join their growing team.
Client details my client is a start-up not-for-profit organisation located in the Melbourne CBD. The business has been around for a few years now and have gone from strength to strength finding a niche in the sector. The team is truly passionate about making a positive change in the NDIS sector and working incredibly well as a group.
Description a hands on role reporting into the Finance Manager and working closely with the wider finance team. The role will be responsible for leading on the following responsibilities liaise with the Client Services team in the collection of client funding information, preparation of initial client funding budgets and entering required data into funding app.
Make bookings against client plans through the NDIS portal. Complete ongoing reviews of clients spend against budgets and provide timely action items to the oordinators. Complete monthly client reporting to agreed timelines. Ad-hoc debt collection as required.
Financial Plan Administration Support outsourced team with all fortnightly financial plan administration data entry and lodgment with NDIS. Make payments to suppliers on behalf of FPM clients. Make suggestions around automation and customer/supplier interaction with FPM process.
Administration and support timely management of accounts mailbox. Track and implement changes to NDIS legislation, especially focused on billing requirements. Support Finance Manager with various responsibilities. Provide input into continuous improvement for the broader finance team. Provide back up to the fortnightly client billing cycle. Support broader business projects as required.
Competencies required superior attention to detail and ability to follow process. Ability to interpret numbers and their relationships. Ability to communicate number-based reports to non-finance staff.
Experience required previous experience in a finance support role or similar type position. Experience or a background in financial applications industry such as home loans, salary packaging or payroll. Comprehensive computer skills (Excel especially) and use of CRM and accounting software (preferably Xero).
Qualifications completed or working towards a bachelor’s degree in business with focuses in Accounting, Finance or Banking. Ideally in the process of studying towards a CA/CPA qualification.
Job offer the client is offering in the region of $70,000- $75,000 package depending on the candidates experience. Their are also company benefits which can be explained further
