The role Redkite Accounts Assistant is to assist in the management of the finance and administration functions across the organisation to ensure it is serviced with accurate financial and statistical information in a timely manner whilst contributing to operational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Accounts Assistant is an experienced accounts payable all-rounder responsible for the accounts receivable and payable functions, as well as banking and support to the Finance Team. The Finance department provides key support to the Marketing, Fundraising and Service Departments and plays an important role in the Redkite’s overall ability to provide support to the children and families.
Responsibilities include ensure accounts payable tasks are performed in line with accounting policies and procedures. Work in partnership with Fundraising team to ensure prompt income allocation. Regular banking and expense reconciliations. Maintaining the integrity of finance controls as well appropriate evidenced documentation. Review and contribute to modifying finance procedures to drive effectiveness and efficiencies.
About you this position is ideal for someone who has had at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience Experienced accounts payable all-rounder. Excellent communication skills. Strong bank reconciliation experience. Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
Understanding of corporate governance principles, risk management concepts, compliance requirements and accounting concepts. Focus on customer service, with a can-do attitude. A track record of process improvements.
