Assistant Financial Accountant Martinus Rail location Sydney. The role due to recent growth we are now looking to add an assistant financial accountant to our team in sydney. The role involves effectively managing the accuracy and quality of financial and qualitive data in the business through rigorous accounting processes, and ensure reporting and analysis is performed in a timely manner. Key tasks and responsibilities processing month-end journals, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, tracking of wip and working with project accountant to ensure prompt invoicing, preparation of fuel tax credit, reporting of work in hand and new tenders won, assist with half year and year end audit queries, preparation and collation of data for monthly reporting purposes, work with operational managers to resolve disputes relating to revenue and cost, all processing complete within given timetable to ensure required deadline achieved, assist in preparation of the monthly business review documentation, maintain and co-ordinate data for national greenhouse & energy reporting (nger), assist with the preparation of annual fbt return. Assist finance team as and when required including but not limited to purchase order receipting, invoicing customers, weekly processing of timesheets to payroll, and project reporting. Qualifications tertiary level qualifications in accounting or commerce, preferred started or about to start cpa or ca, minimum at least 2 years work experience in accounting, preferred myob experience, preferred construction/infrastructure industry experience, myob (advanced level), excel (intermediate level), outlook (basic level).
