About this opportunity
FNQ Volunteers Inc. coordinates the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme in Cairns.

We’re seeking a male Volunteer Visitor to provide meaningful companionship to an older gentleman living with dementia in a residential aged care setting. Your presence can help improve their quality of life by offering moments of connection, comfort, and positive engagement that genuinely brighten their day.

Visits will take place within a residential aged care facility, once a week or once a fortnight. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to showing up for someone are essential, along with completing our orientation and required training.

This is a deeply rewarding opportunity to improve someone’s wellbeing, bring comfort to a family under constant caring pressure, and make a positive difference in their life, and your own.

Requirements
National Police Certificate
