It Assistant Wittner location Melbourne. Wittner Shoes are seeking an IT Assistant to join our support office team in Richmond Victoria, in a full-time capacity. This position is open to an enthusiastic hard-working individual that will thrive working in a small team environment as well as working independently. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing first level technical support to the business. You will work very closely with the IT Manager to ensure IT issues are logged and resolved in a timely and productive manner. To be successful in your application you must have to be successful in your application you must have completed an it degree, a willingness to learn and remain calm under pressure, the ability to think outside the box to ensure productive and proactive problem solving skills, able to guide general users through problems and issues with empathy and respect, flexibility with working hours, after hours support will be required as this is a retail environment operating 7 days per week through australia and new zealand, relevant academic background and work experience with desktop and laptop hardware, excellent communication & organisational skills and the ability to work to and achieve tight deadlines, prior help desk experience is required, you will have had a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role of providing first and second level support in person or via phone, email or other electronic communication. Have key experience in team viewer, windows os setup and configuration, active directory, eftpos and pos experience, sql, exchange server. Your duties will include incident and service request management – taking proactive ownership and coordinating timely and efficient resolution of incidents and service requests with internal/external teams, level 1 and 2 expertise to support and configure windows, ios, retail store and warehouse specific devices via telephone or via our ticketing system, undertake daily checks of the it support tools and environment then resolve or report these issues as appropriate, follow, update and create documentation for internal procedures and guides, independently motivated to improve users it experience by recommendations relative to improving the tools, processes and systems in use, day to day maintenance and monitoring of systems including but not limited to upgrades, nightly backups, servers and security, physical setup of computer equipment across the organisation including laptops, mobile devices and server and network equipment, support the it manager as required, applications must have a cover letter outlining your passion for the opportunity.
