About the Role

As Educational Leader at Journey St Albans, you’ll play a key role in elevating practice, strengthening pedagogy, and supporting educators to grow with confidence. Working alongside the Centre Leadership Team, you’ll guide intentional teaching, embed reflective practice, and ensure children remain at the centre of everything we do.
This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about mentoring others, driving quality outcomes, and continuing to develop their own leadership capability in a supportive, values‑led environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and embed high‑quality, child‑centred pedagogy aligned with the EYLF
Mentor and coach educators to strengthen practice and confidence
Support reflective practice, documentation, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Centre Leadership to guide curriculum and quality outcomes
Build strong, respectful relationships with educators, children, and families
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing
About You

You’re a natural leader who’s committed to supporting others. You bring a warm, collaborative approach, along with strong programming knowledge and a genuine love for early learning.
Hold a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA‑recognised)
Have a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law
Demonstrate the ability to design and implement high‑quality educational programs
Confident in curriculum planning, assessment, and reflective practice
A strong communicator who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing others
Hold current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid Certificates

Our St Albans centre is a welcoming and inclusive early learning environment supporting up to 130 children from birth to five years. After opening late 2025, we’re proud of the strong sense of community we’re building, where positive relationships with children, families, and educators are at the heart of everyday practice.
