Financial Accountant ingogo location Sydney. Head office based in Sydney CBD, next to Pitt Street Mall, ingogo operates a leading taxi payment and booking system in Australia. Our smart phone app platform connects our taxi drivers with our private and corporate passengers. About the role this role is a full time maximum term contract position for a 12 month period based in the Sydney office. The financial accountant will be assisting the CFO in the day-to-day financial operations to bring finance back in-house, covering cash management, credit card and all bank reconciliations, financial reporting, tax compliance as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and GL reconciliations. Role requires an experienced Financial Accountant who has a thorough understanding of and experience with the month end reporting process. Responsibilities the role reports to the cfo and comprises a wide range of tasks associated with the end to end finance function, including, preparation of monthly journals for accruals and prepayments, income statement and balance sheet, including variance commentary, preparation of financial information, monthly payroll preparation, management and oversight of outsourced accounting data processing function in india, management of accounts payable and all statutory requirements (payg, payroll tax, bas, fbt, superannuation etc.) per due dates, preparation of cash flow forecast and weekly variance analysis, bank, credit card and gl reconciliations, monthly labour capitalisation calculation for software development, monitor bank accounts and ensure funds are allocated where required on a daily/weekly basis, support the annual budget preparation and external audit process, other ad hoc tasks per skills and business requirements. Position requirements we are seeking someone with an enquiring mind with a focus on process simplification and improvement, with 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, attention to detail is critical, experience with xero is a major advantage, you must be eligible to work in Australia. Qualification/Skills required qualified ca/cpa or working toward those accreditations, knowledge of xero is ideal but not essential, advanced skills in ms excel, strong problem-solving skills along with a high level of attention to detail, ability to deliver results to meet deadlines.
