Finance Officer The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists location Sydney. Join our friendly team to help improve ophthalmic education and eye health across Australia and New Zealand. The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to train ophthalmologists in Australia and New Zealand. It is also the professional body for ophthalmologists and is responsible for developing and maintaining standards in ophthalmology training and practice. We are seeking a Finance Officer to cover a 12-month maternity leave position (Feb 2020-Feb 2021). There is a possibility of extending the role for the right candidate. Located adjacent to Central Station and Prince Alfred Park, RANZCO is a small not-for-profit with less than 30 staff. The ideal candidate is a team player who is adept at working with a diverse range of staff and in a customer-facing role. Exceptional verbal and written communication are required, as well as excellent time management skills. The Finance Officer takes ownership of critical functions like cash flow management, end of month reporting and consolidation, end of year reporting and consolidation, meeting the college's statutory obligations, interfacing with members about their membership fees and categories, assisting staff with management of funded projects and the day to day management and integrity of the financial management reporting, processes and procedures, this is a broad role with many responsibilities that need to be managed efficiently and effectively through clear communication and attention to detail. Selection criteria minimum of three years' experience in a similar position using myob and xero, formal tertiary level degree in accounting, excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong attention to detail and superior numeracy, analytical and data entry skills, ability to work with competing priorities and deadlines, alone and as part of a team, experience working with a range of non-financial staff and members, experience with the implementation of new it platforms and environments, ranzco is an equal opportunity employer.
