About The Role
Ventia’s Fixed Networks team have a new position available for an Electrical Designer for the Inner City Fibre (ICF) Project.

The Electrical Designer will support the increasing design demands of current and upcoming ICF projects across Australia. The strategic objective is to enhance national design capacity, ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, and streamline coordination across multiple regions.

About You

Preferable experience and knowledge of but not limited to:

Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer / Designer
Technical fluency on Low Voltage and DC power
Proficiency on bill of quantities preparation
Proficiency in interpreting CAD drawings
Competency in MS Office, especially with MS Excel to prepare bill of quantities and tender costs estimates.
MS Access, MS Power Automation and Power Apps desirable
A current manual driver’s licence
Be prepared to work away from home when required
Knowledge of ISO9001, OH&S legislation/guidelines, and environmental legislation/licensing
Desired skills:

Develop technically fit for purpose solar and battery designs for commercial market segment
Have proficient knowledge of the solar industry and solar related regulations and requirements
Basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems
