Your Next Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team at our Merry Beach Holidays site.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our grounds looking great, maintaining facilities, creating memorable holiday experiences for our guests, and having fun while doing it!

Merry Beach is a peaceful coastal retreat on the NSW South Coast, known for its pristine shoreline, friendly kangaroos, and scenic walks through nearby Murramarang National Park.

In this Role, You’ll

Maintain outdoor spaces including public areas, gardens, lawns, and pool facilities through regular mowing, pruning, weeding, and pest control.
Oversee contractor work, manage general repairs, and maintain tools and equipment with proper servicing records.
Manage the grounds and maintenance budget, report financial pressures, and ensure all work remains within budget.
Respond to resident and guest maintenance requests, escalate issues to trades when needed, and support community needs.
Assist with site security, report issues to the Manager, and always maintain a respectful and professional approach.

You’re Likely a Match If You

Teamwork and communication are essential, including respectful interactions, professional relationships, and active participation in meetings.
Required qualifications include a current “C” class driver’s licence (site dependent) and a national police check.
Experience in grounds and building maintenance, strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude are key.
Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, operating tools and equipment, and using PPE safely.
Ability to respond to emergencies, maintain safety standards, and handle tools and chemicals responsibly.
You’re someone who brings energy, ideas, and a genuine passion for making a difference. You love working with people, solving problems, and creating moments that matter.
