Your future role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team responsible for the delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth, Western Australia. This transformational project will deliver a new Automatic Train Control (ATC) system across the Perth metro network, and is the worlds largest signalling project by route length.

Based at our facility in Nowergup, you will primarily be responsible for providing Quality Engineering support to the retrofit activities on the B and C Series train sets. This role would suit a senior Engineer with a background in electrical/systems project delivery and significant quality management experience.

We’ll look to you for:

Leading the project quality activities for the site and retrofits.
Managing the industrial quality control plan and developing appropriate checklists.
Maintaining vehicle history books and liaising with the customer for vehicle acceptance.
Conducting audits and process inspections internally and with suppliers.
Supporting the change management process.
Managing the non-conformance reporting process.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive and agile approach, with the ability to work autonomously.
Significant experience a similar position with a strong focus on Quality Management.
Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Electrical, Electronic, Systems or similar).
Experience in Rail Signalling will be highly regarded.
