About the Role

The role will provide support to the General Manager, Assurance and Fraud Prevention and the Head of Assurance to execute on the second line assurance activities which provide monitoring and evidence-based assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of the enterprise Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks and other enterprise policies and activities.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as icare’s Assurance Advisor you will:

Support the effective implementation of the enterprise wide compliance management framework, risk management framework and broader risk and governance policies across the icare business, through a systematic and thorough controls assurance program.
Undertake key control testing and reporting on design and operating effectiveness of the control framework.
Support the business to identify key controls and implement testing plans to identify control gaps and weakness.
Undertake risk-based deep dives on high risk areas to assess the strength of the control framework.
Research and provide input into the risk management framework and associated policies and procedures to ensure they reflect industry best practice for a robust risk and compliance control framework.
Assess and evaluate policies and procedures to achieve the identified risk and governance management objectives and recommend improvements to business operations where necessary.
Develop relationships with staff and risk coordinators to influence and foster a compliance culture.
Engage with and foster internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure effective engagement with icare’s risk and governance strategy, appetite and tolerances.
Skills & Experience

Experience in compliance and/or risk frameworks
Experience in assurance or audit function
A range of experience in analysing and reporting on risk and compliance management strategies.
Experience in controls assurance testing or auditing
Ability to work autonomously to deliver assignments and initiatives on time, to high level of quality
Understanding of financial services industry or government entities
