As a result of a growing pipeline of awarded work, are currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Designer to join our Brisbane team.

About the role

Provide process plant platform, access road, drainage and associated infrastructure design knowledge and supervision of civil project design team while working on deliverables.
Prepare, review and sign off on layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
Deliver design drafting according to required project time-frames and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, regularly communicating with the Lead Civil Engineer and addressing issues in a timely manner.
Active collaboration and communication with project team and other disciplines, providing input to site selection and layout optimization of mineral processing plants.

About you

A minimum of 10 years experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial required.
Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering desirable.
Proven ability to lead, with prior experience leading Civil project design teams.
Extensive experience in Civil 3D, or 12D and AutoCAD is a must.
Well developed written and oral communication skills.
Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
