About the Opportunity
At Visy, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a proactive HSE Coordinator to support our Plastics division across three manufacturing sites (Smithfield and two in Ingleburn).
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, with a dotted line to the State HSE Manager, you’ll be the onsite HSE lead, working hands-on with operations to drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
This role is well-suited to a motivated HSE professional looking to step up and take ownership across multiple sites, while being supported by an experienced state and national HSE network.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Plant and Operations Managers to embed safe systems of work across sites.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Provide coaching, training and support to line leaders and employees on safety practices.
Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Lead site audits, inspections, and reporting to meet compliance and business requirements.
Contribute to driving a proactive, “safety-first” culture across all sites.
What You Will Bring
Previous experience in an HSE role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar high-risk industry.
Strong understanding of WHS legislation, standards, and risk management.
Ability to influence and engage at all levels, from shopfloor through to senior leadership.
Practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Formal qualifications in WHS or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
