Your Role: Field Service Technician
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Field Service Technician to join the Scylla Maintenance Team, working on the Collins Class Submarines. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Maintenance Managers alongside other technicians to ensure all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a permanent opportunity based out of Rockingham, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on complex and diverse systems across electrical and IT based disciplines
Prove support to the Maritime and Ship Repair Services Domain to provide technical support to a range of weapon systems
Manage your time effectively to ensure tasks are completed in line with complex scheduled activities
Work remotely across a range of locations from shipyards and RAN platforms, outside of Thales’ usual scope
Ensure all compliance is correct in-line with 3rd parties also present at these sites
Occasional interstate and international travel to support the above activities
Your Skills:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the below:
Cert 4 in Electronics
An electrical trade with relevant experience
Australian citizenship
NV1 and ITAR clearance
Ability to work within tight, confined spaces within the submarines themselves
4 + years’ experience in fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of complex equipment and systems
A proven track record in quality assurance
